• Vital Role for Wellman Robey at Salisbury Linen

Wellman Robey of Oldbury ( West Midlands ) now have three high volume, steam raising boilers, in operation at the recently opened Salisbury Linen Services, which is incorporated within the new hospital on the outskirts of the city. The steam provided by Wellman Robey boilers is a vital ingredient in the supply of fresh linen to both the public and private sectors. These include uniforms for nurses and the armed forces ( M.O.D ), through to linen for hotels and privately run care homes.  As part of the N.H.S Foundation Trust, Salisbury Linen Services has a network of customers from the south east of england through to the south west, including London.

Laundry Services include Wash & Return, Linen Hire and Total Linen Management, with a capacity of 300,000 items per week. The three Wellman Robey boilers each rated at 4,800 kg/hr 12 barg, are rotated weekly in pairs to allow for planned maintenance, periodic inspection and annual running upgrades.

Each boiler is designated as a ULS-IE which indicates it has 5,000 kg/hr steam output with an Economiser built into the unit in order to achieve maximum efficiency. The boilers are fitted with natural gas fired G.P Burners. G.P Burners Ltd like Wellman Robey, are part of the Wellman International Group.
